Prayer Request
Please pray for my friend, she was admitted to the hospital this week-end. She has breast cancer. She has been fighting a fever for the past few weeks, but she truly believes she is superwomen, and does not need to rest. Having 5 kids and 3 grand children does not help in the matter. She is the monarchy of the family and you would think hat her children would step in and make her rest, but she has always taking care of everything, so it is hard for them to see that she really is not superwomen.
Why must we as women feel the need that we can & will take care of everything?
She needs to be fever free till Wednesday so she can take her last dose of chemo. Then she is to have surgery the middle of this month to remove anything that God has not already removed, and then a week of high intense radiation.
She was pretty bummed yesterday, of course she is in the hospital 1 1/2 hours away. So that doesn't help matters. And she missed church, I sent her some e-cards with some uplifting worship songs. She sounds much better today.
When saying your daily prayers if you could just send up a shout for her! :)
On a lighter note, Nikki got an SRA (Student Recognition Award) this morning at school. I am soo proud of the choices she is making in her life. She always has decided to attend the conference at our church...... very positive sign :0) Of course I'm jealous they get to go skiing!!! So we will be looking for ski pants today, hopefully they will be on sale, if we can even find them. Not allot of skiing going on around here :)
Finished the running week off with a tough 4 miler yesterday, here's whats on tap for this week:
Monday rest
Tuesday 4
Wednesday rest
Thursday 4
Friday rest
Saturday 5.

Oh Cruiser, so sorry about your friend's current situation. Cancer, such an ugly illness. I will say many prayers for her, as well as for her supportive friends, like you!
Congrats to Nikki on her success at school, and in church!
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Sorry about your friend but will keep her in my prayers and thank you for being such a good friend.
Congrats to Nikki in slowly becoming the woman that God created her to be.
I'm so glad to hear that your friend is feeling a little better. I hope she continues to improve. She's still in my prayers, as are all of you. :)
