Lessons Learned Long Run

Boy did I learn the lessons today.

1) Do not over sleep when planning on a 14 mile run in 50% humidity 64 degrees at 6:00 am !!

Didn't get on the road till 6:45, was planning to be out the door at 5:45!

2) Always double check your supplies prior to leaving. had to swing back to get my beans.

3) Eat a pack of beans prior to going on a 14 miler, in the heat.

4) Stay away from hills after being tortured at the Women's training hill run on Thursday!!

5) Remember to give extra hugs & kisses to the great guy I married who left me a cold Gatorade at mile 7!!

Here's what it looked like:
1 10:25
2 10:05
3 10:03
4 10:16
5 10:37
6 10:22
7 12:57
8 12:00
9 11:33
10 13:57
11 12:48
12 13:11
13 12:34
14 11:50

As you can tell the last half was my down fall. Probably due to the rising temps

Now I'm going to lay in the pool the rest of the day. :)

Have A Great Week-end!!

God Bless!

The point is, YOU DID IT! But yes, the heat can be a real killer, literally. So be very careful out there, G.

And by the way, nice 3 mile run too. You're getting faster! When is your next 5K? You'll blaze through it.
